A message from the Kultivar team
Greetings!
It’s been a long time since we have reached out to communicate with you, We had an unusually busy holiday season, and we had planned to take a couple of weeks off after.
A couple of weeks led to almost two months off, which has been nice for our family. Since Terra cancelled their winter market, we found ourselves without any Q1 obligations. Instead of finding another show, we decided to take the time to rest.
We are now just getting back into the swing of things. We are heading back to the kitchen to stock up on our inventory, and we are taking a look at Spring/Summer shows to participate in.
We have some plans for the next few months:
Get this newsletter off the ground. We’ve wanted to find a way to have more regular communication outside of the social media space and the Kultivar Kitchen is that space for us. We plan on sharing news, planting/growing updates, recipes and more.
Overhaul our website. New photos, new information, a modern refresh to an ageing site.
Implement a new shipping process that will significantly cut down on delays. This has also been a long time coming and we are excited to get things up and running again.
We also have plans for some fun things like collaborations, new products and giveaways that will be unfolding over the next little while. We are PUMPED for this year!
On another note, we know a lot of our followers and friends are fellow foodies, so we thought we would share some of the foods, restaurants and recipes that have been inspiring us lately.
Here is our first one: BREAD! Ira has been busy in the kitchen making up to 6 loaves a week as he tests out recipes and techniques. We’ve been spreading the love with our neighbours as it’s a lot of bread for a small family, but it’s been a nice diversion and keeps the kitchen warm during these cold days.
Another regular feature we want to share is our love for other brands; whether it’s hot sauce, farmers, commercial brands. No sponsorships here, we just like to share what we love.
Shout out to Firecracker Pepper Sauce for their delicious Bazodee sauce. It has barely lasted the month in our house.
That’s all we have for updates at the moment. We hope everyone is doing well. We have been through some very unusual times over the past two years and we are hoping we’ll get to do more live shows and tasting events in the coming year.
Leave a comment below with any topics you would like us to cover, or any recipes you are interested in. We welcome any feedback and look forward to connecting.
Thank you,
Lisa, Ira & the mini Kultivars
